Description

The Bavarian Alps between Tegernsee and Berchtesgaden are probably one of the most frequented touring mountains in the entire Alps. The nearby conurbation of Munich and the densely populated Alpine foothills are home to a large and active community of ski tourers who like to spend their casual wear in the deep snow between Hirschberg and Watzmann and are therefore unintentionally among the regulars at the traffic jams on the A8. At many of the destinations presented, you are therefore only alone during the week - but only in bad weather. This ski guide presents over 140 tour destinations, from the easy "Feierabendroute" in the foothills to the challenging "Gro&ßen Reibn" in the Berchtesgaden Alps. Of course, all the usual classics are included as well as some delicacies previously reserved for locals. With the latter, you might even be able to go it alone.
<p
