Description

Third greatly expanded and updated edition of the innovative via ferrata guide with app, which presents the most beautiful via ferratas in the Dolomites, South Tyrol, the Garda mountains, the Brenta and (new) the Vicenza Alps.

The book contains a great compilation of alpine ferratas on the 3000m peaks in the Dolomites and the high peaks of the Brenta, as well as detailed descriptions of sport and adventure via ferratas. The work is rounded off by the fantastic via ferratas in the Garda region, which is favored by the weather. In the current edition, many via ferratas on Lake Garda, the Vintschgau Valley and the Vicenza Alps (Pasubio, Cima Garega and Monte Grappa) have been added.

Special emphasis is placed on informative sketches (topos), in which, in addition to the exact assessment of the individual sections of the via ferrata, possible danger points (e.g. snow gullies, rockfall zones) are also pointed out. In addition to the sketches, there is a photo of the wall with the exact route and some very expressive action photos. A total of approx. 1000 color photos have been printed. The information was researched in close cooperation with area experts and hut managers.

Axel Jentzsch-Rabl, Dieter Wissekal, Andreas Jentzsch | Alpinverlag | 3rd edition 2015 | 480 pages | format 15.4 x 22 cm | printed in full color on special art paper, with climb topos, ascent and descent maps, approx. 1000 color photos | sturdy thread stitching
